Clark Day Announces Candidacy for NLR City Council Ward 4

On Monday, August 5, with her family by her side, Somer Clark-Day filed her candidacy for NLR City Council Ward 4, Seat 1.

Somer Clark-Day is North Little Rock born and raised. A charter class graduate of the Arkansas School for Math and Science, she studied English at the University of Mississippi and then returned to NLR to study nursing. She began her career at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and continued at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a clinical skills and communications instructor. She currently serves 1100 members and their families as the Executive Director for the Overbrook Property Owners Association where she has worked closely with the cities of Sherwood and North Little Rock over the past decade..

Somer has been married to Clifton Day for 22 years. They have three children, Vivian, Bauer, and Frances. Clark-Day is a founding and active member of the Argenta United Methodist Church and volunteers her time for the Mayor’s Communication Council, NLRSD, and LR Ranger Soccer Club.
